GCFA- Paper Preparation Requirements

7. Paper Preparation Requirements:

The papers should adhere to the following paper preparation requirements.

 

  1. Length: Paper should not be longer than 6000 words, approximately 20 pages that include all charts/graphs, references, and any appendices;
  2. Appearance and format: Font should be Times New Roman — point size 12; Margins of 1inch (2.5 cm) all around; Double spaces; Papers must be submitted in MSWord (DOC or DOCX) format.
  3. Page headers and/or footers should contain page numbers and a shortened title of the paper. They are not to include the author’s name or the name of his or her institution. This ensures anonymous review by the judges. The name of the author should not be included in any place in the paper or in the title paper.
  4. Charts and Graphs: Charts and graphs should be “stylized”; that is, exhibits should be developed, formatted, and inserted into the document appropriately. Cutting and pasting the direct output from statistical software into the document is not satisfactory. All additional mathematical work, if any, should be included in an appendix.
  5. Citations: Datasets, publications, and other documentation must be properly cited. All citations should adhere to the APA style of referencing.

Title Page and Abstract: The title page must include the author’s name, advisor’s name, institutional affiliation, expected degree (or recently received degree) and graduation date (month/year), and email address.
